Ascension Right - Climbing Hardware

Description

The Petzl Ascension is an ascender with a handle, popular with climbers, mountaineers, cavers and rope-access workers for their ergonomic shape, efficiency and ease of use. The cam design minimizes friction with sliding the ascender along the rope, while the angled teeth provides a secure grip in wet, icy or muddy conditions.

Features:

  • Dual density grip for greater friction and better grip.
  • Grip is wider at the bottom for greater comfort and in use.
  • Index finger indent has also been increased offering greater efficiency when pulling on the ascender.
  • Efficient cam design to allow it to slide along a rope, while the teeth proves secure grip in all conditions.
  • Geometry of the single piece, aluminium frame optimises the handle orientation when the device is loaded.
  • Safety catch allows the ascension cam to be installed or removed anywhere on the rope with one hand, even when wearing gloves.
